Thousands celebrate marginalized women this Mother's Day

In honor of all the women in the world, the advocacy organization Forward Together sent out e-cards celebrating women of all backgrounds on Mother's Day. The national multiracial organization annual event "Mama's Day" commemorates marginalized women who are often overlooked. As part of its initiative, the organization sent out 15,000 cards created by artists of color to these women. With the rise of attacks on immigrant and Muslim communities, the organization highlighted this group of women to show solidarity.
