Cleanup begins after 'historic flooding' in Quebec
  • 7 years ago
About 100 workers are working around the clock to pump floodwater out of underground storm sewers in the city of Pierrefonds, Quebec.

Pierrefonds is one of the worst-hit cities in southwestern Quebec, Canada from the historic flooding that ravaged through the region.

Water hoses were seen lying in basements or underground parking lots to pump out floodwater.

The floodwater has receded from some residential buildings but sandbags can still be seen at the doorstep.

However, some areas are still flooded with water level as deep as the height of an adult in some low-lying areas.
