Good news: Cheese is not a link to heart attacks or strokes

No need to cut the cheese, researchers found that eating full-fat cheese does not increase the risk of a heart attack or stroke. According to a study in the European Journal of Epidemiology, there is no true link between dairy products and cardiovascular diseases or heart problems. An international team of researchers looked over results from 29 medical studies over the last 35 years to prove their case. "There's been a lot of publicity over the last five to 10 years about how saturated fats increase the risk of cardiovascular disease and a belief has grown up that they must increase the risk, but they don't," Ian Givens, professor of food chain nutrition at Reading University, told The Guardian newspaper on Tuesday. So while cheese is still high in saturated fats, you don’t have to feel too guilty about eating it.
