American Idol is Officially Returning to TV on ABC

Ryan Seacrest might want to polish off his old hosting microphone because American Idol will officially be resurrected on ABC.
People magazine reports that the beloved star searching program will begin again on ABC, which is Seacrest's new home on Live With Kelly and Ryan.
Along with the morning show, Seacrest also hosts his syndicated radio show and remains one of the busiest workers in show biz... But of course he's not above returning to Idol.
And Kelly Ripa has reportedly assured him that she'd pick up any of the slack on their show if he wanted to return.
For now, it's only confirmed that the show will return in the fall of 2017, and the host along with the judges remain to be chosen and will be announced at a later date.
So all those hopeful new Idol contestants better start getting ready to audition.’
