Immigration officer suspended for harassing woman passenger

A senior immigration officer Vinod Kumar has been suspended by authorities for allegedly harassing a woman passenger. The woman alleged that the immigration officer asked many “unpleasant and private” questions while clearing the decks at the immigration counter. The Union Home Ministry has stepped in and started an internal probe against the officer. The Ministry has also advised the complainant to file a police complaint.
