India and US sign 10 year defense framework agreement

India and US tonight signed a new strategically important 10-year defence framework agreement setting the stage for co-development and manufacture of defence equipment and technology besides holding joint exercises and greater intelligence sharing. The visit comes as US re-balances itself to Asia Pacific.
