Girl attends dance with Beauty and the Beast character while father is overseas

Adorable footage has emerged from the US of a girl attending a dance with a 'Beauty and the Beast' character while her father is overseas.
The video, captured at a father and daughter dance in Texas, shows 5-year-old Gracee Nelson dancing with a costumed 'Beast' character while her father - a military contractor - serves in Afghanistan.
“We found out about the dance the very beginning of April,” Gracee’s mother told a local news organisation.
“We live about 10 hours away from all family members, and I told her daddy wasn’t going to be able to come. He wouldn’t be home in time. This was her first time being away from my husband for such a long period of time," she continued
"She was so devastated. She bawled her eyes out. She’s such a daddy’s girl.”
The couple then decided to send the Beast character from a local event company to escort Gracee to the dance instead.
“He was dancing with all the kids. All the kids got a chance to dance with him and take pictures. She was literally the Belle of the ball. She was just beside herself -- The fact that the Beast took her," her mum wrote online.
