The UK rejected claims that it will have to pay a €100 billion divorce bill in order to leave the EU, according to Secretary David Davis. “We will not be paying €100bn,” Davis told told ITV’s Good Morning Britain. The Financial Times initially reported Brussels requested €60 billion for UK to leave, but other demands by the EU raised the settlement to €100 billion. Previous calculations estimated that the settlement would be around €50 and €60 billion.
