Planned Parenthood resumes abortion services in Texas

Planned Parenthood is resuming its abortion services after a Supreme Court ruling implemented strict regulations forcing facilities to close. Texas lost its only abortion clinic in Waco after Gov. Rick Perry signed off on the regulations in 2013. The anti-abortion bill required doctors who perform abortions to obtain hospital admitting privileges and imposed costly operating standards. Nearly a year ago, the law was struck down as unconstitutional. Despite this change, only three clinics out of at least 20 reopened.
