One nation one number : Nationwide Mobile Number Portability starts today

One nation, one number is the slogan of today. You will be able to retain your mobile number even if you move “permanently” to another state. A consumer will just have to port the number from a service provider to a new operator or the existing one in the state he/she is moving to. Customers can send a message to 1900 seeking change to another service provider and have to pay Rs 19 for the move.
