Main witness in Asaram Bapu case shot in Shahjahanpur

The main witness in the sexual assault case against spiritual guru Asaram Bapu was shot at in Gwaltoli under Sadar Police station in Shahjahanpur on Friday. He was on way home from market when he was attacked by an unidentified assailant. He sustained severe bullet injuries in his abdomen, police said. Kripal was rushed to the hospital where a doctor subsequently referred him to Bareilly after seeing his critical condition.
