Microsoft has launched Windows 10 S, a new operating system aimed at the education market.
Windows 10 S is a lightweight version of Windows 10 that can only download and install apps from the Windows Store. Machines running the OS can also be quickly setup with preconfigured options through a USB drive, aimed at schools that want to set up all their machines the same way.
Microsoft’s Windows Head, Terry Myerson said devices running on Windows 10S will be coming “this summer” at a starting price of $189.
