Fox News executive Bill Shine leaves network

In the midst of scandals, Fox News co-president Bill Shine resigned from the network on Monday. Shine has been with the network for 20 years, since its beginning in 1996. He was promoted to co-president last year after former CEO Roger Alies was forced out for sexual harassment allegations. Shine has been named in multiple lawsuits against the network for sexual and racial harassment, although none which accuse the former president of harassing behavior. Murdoch said: "This is a significant day for all at FOX News. Bill has played a huge role in building FOX News to its present position as the nation's biggest and most important cable channel in the history of the industry. His contribution to our channel and our country will resonate for many years."
