The US Army Corps of Engineers opened the spillway on Table Rock Lake in southwestern Missouri on April 30 to protect the Table Rock Dam, risking more flooding downstream after heavy rains over the weekend. This drone footage shows all ten of the dam’s gates open. According to local reports from KTTS, the 10 gates were opened to 3 feet, spilling out nearly 39,000 cubic feet per second of water.
In nearby Branson, Missouri, the Branson Landing shopping boulevard was flooded due to runoff from Lake Taneycomo. The Table Rock Dam controls the flow of water from Table Rock Lake to Lake Taneycomo.
