In a sharp reply to journalist Rajdeep Sardesai, Maharastra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis wrote an open letter to him saying that he normally don't reply to open letters writtern by senior journalist. Bringing clarity to the meat ban Fadnavis said “My state government did not take the decision to ban meat. The Congress government in 2004 took the decision to close a slaughter-house for two days in Paryushan Parva. It was conveyed to all municipal corporations then” Talking about the transfer of former Mumbai Police commisoner Rakesh Maria, Maharastra CM said Rajdeep sounded confused over the matter.
