The last sections of a dying oak tree where the first US president, George Washington, picnicked during the American Revolution were removed on Wednesday, April 26.The removal work began on the “George Washington Tree” on Monday.This timelapse video shows the work on the tree’s removal over two days.The 600-year-old tree in Basking Ridge, New Jersey, would not withstand upcoming “harsh winters or spring storms,” according to arborists, NBC New York reported.
