India Celebrates 67th Republic Day, military prowess and diverse social traditions on display

The historic Rajpath in Delhi was all decked up to showcase India's military might and other achievements on the occasion of 67th Republic Day celebrations on Tuesday. For the first time in the history of Republic Day parades, a 123-member French Army contingent marched on Rajpath and present a ceremonial salute to the President Pranab Mukherjee. Another first, after a gap of 26 years, was the march by an Army dog squad drawn from the Remount Veterinary Corps along with their handlers.
