Chris Gayle was ushered off the field by fourth umpire Ian Gould during a contest between W.Indies and Sri lanka at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Constant chants of “we want Gayle” were heard during the West Indian innings, as the left-hander was watching the proceedings from the dressing room. Gayle tweaked his hamstring while fielding during Sri Lanka’s innings and hence did not come out to bat in his usual opening position.
