The IMKMK’s candidate A. Muthukumar who filed the nominations on BJP’s symbol in Madathukulam constituency has joined AIADMK. He has been quoted in a media report as saying, "I was let down both by IMKMK and BJP itself, which forced to me join AIADMK. Mr. Muthukumar was IMKMK’s Coimbatore district secretary. Now he is hitting the road campaigning for AIADMK’s Madathukulam candidate M. Manoharan.
