Report: Aaron Hernandez’s Sexuality May Have Been Possible Motive In Lloyd Murder

Questions continue to linger about the life of former pro football player Aaron Hernandez who died Wednesday after apparently hanging himself in his prison cell.
One is his motive for killing Odin Lloyd--a crime he was convicted of committing in April 2015; however, Newsweek is reporting, based on inside law enforcement sources, that what may have helped prompt the shooting was Hernandez’s desire to keep his alleged bisexuality a secret.
The piece states that “Ernest Wallace, a co-defendant in the Lloyd murder case, told detectives the victim had called Hernandez a ‘schmoocher,’ which was taken by Hernandez and his companions as a gay slur.”
Newsweek notes that according to records, Wallace had also at one point been recorded referring to the former New England Patriots player as a “limp wrist.”
In fact, the media outlet reports that Hernandez allegedly had a male lover from high school who “was interviewed extensively by authorities after Lloyd’s murder, and was forced to testify in front of a grand jury.”
Meanwhile, the Daily Mail is reporting, citing "sources close to the investigation," that Hernandez left three notes before he died; one was for his fiancée Shayanna Jenkins-Hernandez, another was for his young daughter, and the last was for his alleged male lover in prison who the outlet claims is under “'eyeball to eyeball' suicide watch.”
Hernandez’s suicide occurred just days after he was found not guilty in two separate murder charges stemming from a 2012 incident in Boston, notes CNN.
George Leontire, his family’s attorney, is said to be preparing to sue officials in Massachusetts for negligence in his death.
