The announcement that Raghuram Rajan will leave his position as governor of India’s central bank, the Reserve Bank of India is certainly a huge setback. his term is ending on 4th September. When he took the position in September 2013, the rupee was in free fall, the economy was facing high inflation, the current account deficit was at a dangerous level and the rupee was at its lowest value.
