Trayvon Martin: Should Hip Hop Respond? | DEHH

George Zimmerman's 'Not Guilty' verdict in the murder of Trayvon Martin elicited a lot of responses last week leading to a boycott of Florida by Stevie Wonder, Jay-Z, Beyonce, and more. Last week on twitter, @BlackMoonTyler asked @mykectown and @kbinge should hip hop respond to the Zimmerman not guilty verdict. While hip hop hasn't been exactly quiet with a number of tribute songs dropping last week from Young Jeezy to Wyclef Jean and more, we take a broader look at hip hop's role in the Zimmerman trial and murder of Trayvon Martin. We rounded up the crew and a few guests of the show, Blake and Kelly, to answer the question and if a response is warranted, how does hip hop go about doing so. Listen to what we have to say and let us know what you think in the comment section. And please, be reasonable and respectful.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the parents of Trayvon Martin and the many others lost to violence in our country.
