Emirates cuts flights to U.S. after decline in demand since Trump's appointment

Emirates, the Middles East’s biggest airline, is cutting flights into the U.S. due to a decline in demand since Trump has been in office.
In a statement,Emirates said “The recent actions taken by the U.S. government relating to the issuance of entry visas, heightened security vetting, and restrictions on electronic devices in aircraft cabins, have had a direct impact on consumer interest anddemand for air travel into the U.S..”
Emirates stated that by next month, flights from Dubai to the U.S. will decrease from 126 to 101, and five out of 12 U.S. destinations will be affected.
Theairline has been a target of other big carriers, who accuse it of flooding the market with capacity and benefiting unfairly from government subsidies.
Despite competition, they plan to focus more on other routes in their global network, and they have even launched a new service toNewark via Athens.
With Delta Airlines and United Airlines cut from Dubai,Emirates is now the only carrier that offers direct flights to the U.S. from one of the busiest airports for international travel.
