Cauvery water dispute : Karnataka to release water to Tamil Nadu says SC | Oneindia News

The Supreme Court today ordered Karnataka to release 15,000 cusecs of Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu for ten days. The court also ordered the supervisory committee to decide on the issue relating to the release of water during this period of ten days. The Supreme Court is hearing a plea filed by Tamil Nadu in which it had sought the release of Cauvery water from Karnataka. However Karnataka contended that it has no more water to be released and stated that this was a distress year.
