Here’s how you can help name April the giraffe’s baby boy

After 16 long months, and many many hours of live-streaming, April the giraffe finally gave birth! More than 1.2 million viewers, from around the world viewed the birth in real-time. Now, Animal Adventure Park wants you to help name the calf. The park has set up a website, Nameaprilscalf.com. There public can submit potential names for the male calf and/or vote for their favorite names, Votes are $1 each, with a minimum of 5 votes. The first phase of the promotion began Saturday, and will last for 10 days. The top ten names will then be picked, and a second contest will follow. The second contest will last about another five days and the winner will be announced shortly after. The funds collected from the naming contest will be used for giraffe conservation efforts, a program called Ava's Little Heroes, and money will also go toward helping Animal Adventure Park.
