Frightened Elephant Fights Crocodile Snapping at Its Trunk

An elephant at the Liwonde National Park in Malawi was lucky to escape from a crocodile on April 10.
Malawi-born Alexander Amuli M’betti Makanga filmed the entire encounter and shared it with the Central African Wilderness Safaris Facebook page.In the video, a stealthy crocodile jumps from the water and, with its powerful jaws, grabs an elephant’s trunk. The elephant immediately panics and tries to get away, but the crocodile holds on. The elephant eventually escapes the crocodile’s grip. Credit: Alexander Makanga via Storyful
