8 suspected members of a radical Islamist group were killed by the police in Bhopal , hours after they allegedly escaped from a high security jail by slitting the throat of a prison guard and scaling the walls with knotted bedsheets. 2 video clips was released after the encounter which raised questions about the official version of events — and prompted a lawyer of seven of the eight SIMI inmates who were killed to call for a CBI probe.
