A new rumour in Uttar Pradesh sent people into a panic mode on Friday. Several people thronged to local shops after salt shortage rumours came up, forcing them to buy salt in bulk. According to reports, due to this, salt is reportedly being sold at Rs 200 per kg in several parts of the state. There have also been reports of panic buying in several parts of the National Capital Region (NCR).
