Cheeky Young Wombat Practises 'Commando Roll'

This young wombat named BJ is restless, and keeps his caretaker on her toes.BJ was filmed by Sleepy Burrows Wombat Sanctuary on April 13 in a bout of hyperactivity and curiosity as he marched and scratched his way along the couch before accidentally falling backwards.Donna Stepan, who tirelessly looks after orphaned wombats, can be heard asking what “cheeky” BJ is up to, before losing herself in laughter as the joey tumbles to the floor.Stepan told Storyful: “Young wombats are very playful. If they are not, something is wrong. Wombat joey BJ loves his couch antics, whether it is allowed or not. To him it is a game to get up before anybody sees him. Here he practices his wombat commando roll and exits somewhat gracefully.”
