Jennifer Aniston and her mother, Nancy Dow, were famously estranged for nearly a decade before they finally made peace with each other and reconciled just weeks before Nancy passed away last May.
There was good reason for their ruptured relationship — namely, Nancy’s 1999, no-holds-barred memoir, From Mother and Daughter to Friends, which reportedly so infuriated Jennifer she cut off all contact with the woman she felt had betrayed her. Surprisingly (and ironically), Jen could be following in her mother’s footsteps. Sources claim that the perky rom-com beauty is now in the process of penning a tell-all of her tumultuous life — and the revelations could be so juicy that industry insiders are predicting the book could fetch as much as $11 million!

Now the guessing game is on about exactly what secrets Jen would finally reveal to her millions of fans. “When you think about it, the timing makes perfect sense,” an insider tells Star. “With her mom’s passing, it’s been a year of quiet and deep reflection on Jen’s part about everything she’s gone through. And the simple fact is, she’s getting older. Over the years Jen has been the subject of so much wild speculation and so many rampant rumors that she may be feeling it’s time to unburden herself — and set the record straight once and for all.”
No doubt the most anticipated disclosures, sources say, could be about Jen’s fairy-tale romance with Brad Pitt — and how the golden couple’s picture-perfect marriage came crashing down. “That would be an intense beginning, to start with the moment Brad confessed to Jen that he had fallen in love with Angelina Jolie,” claims the insider. That moment could very well have been the duo’s fateful trip to Anguilla in January 2005, when they were spotted kissing and walking hand in hand on a secluded beach — only to shock the world the next day by announcing that they were ending their five-year union.
“I heard that Jen has said it was in Anguilla that Brad contritely admitted to her that he had betrayed her trust by becoming romantically involved with Angie,” the insider adds. “It looked like they were still very much in love, but privately they had come to the heart- breaking realization that their relationship was over. The photos from that day on Anguilla are so poignant; it would be so moving to hear Jen’s side of that story.”
While sources don’t expect that Jen would paint her ex in too harsh a light — she’s reportedly been in touch with Brad in the wake of Angie’s shocking divorce filing against him last September — they suspect her former rival won’t come out unscathed.
