Zaidi said appropriate steps have been taken up to organised the polls, which will see nearly 160 million voters exercising their franchise. Election Commission issued guidelines to be followed by the political parties and candidates in the upcoming assembly elections in Goa, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Manipur and Uttar Pradesh.
