Protesters in Barinas March Past Bus Emblazoned with Anti-Maduro Graffiti

Venezuelans in multiple cities participated in anti-government protests on April 10 in the fourth round of demonstrations to hit the country within the past 10 days.This footage shows a group of protesters in Barinas, a city in west central Venezuela, chanting and marching in the street past a bus emblazoned with the graffiti “Fuera Maduro” (Out Maduro).Nicolas Maduro has served as the president of Venezuela since 2013, and his leftist government has drawn ire due to the country’s economic meltdown, hyperinflation, and a March 30 decision by the Supreme Court to strip power from the opposition-controlled National Assembly.The Supreme Court has since withdrawn its ruling, but the move has continued to draw condemnation from Venezuelan opposition politicians and international governments. This criticism strengthened after Venezuela’s comptroller on April 7 banned opposition leader Henrique Capriles from holding office for 15 years.Protests have been ongoing throughout the states of Barinas, Caracas, Carabobo, Miranda, Lara and Zulia, El Nacional reported.
