Rock band Spoon wants their listeners to have “a moment”

The internet has changed how we listen to music forever, but if it is up to American rock band Spoon, albums are still very much alive. Frontman Britt Daniel recollects being immersed into the album Seventeen Seconds by The Cure only recently, and wants to give his audience the same experience with Spoon’s new album Hot Thoughts. “I’ll go ahead and say it, I want them to go on a bit of a journey. It mIght sound grandiose but we take this shit very serious. We put a lot of time in the songs, the recording, and now the live shows. None of it is done without consideration.”
