Syrians seen smiling and excited as train travels through Aleppo for first time in over four years
  • 7 years ago
A train travelled for the first time through Aleppo after a four and a half year disruption caused by the war.
The train departed from Jibrin station in the east of the Syrian capital, and was bound to the city's central Baghdad station. Even if this service in particular has been resumed, other services between Aleppo and both Syrian and foreign cities remain suspended because of the conflict.
