Amy Schumer's newest special on Netflix might have earned just one star from fans, but there's a reason she believes she's a five star talent.

She tells In Style magazine, "My parents made me think I was a genius supermodel... and it was kind of too late when I found out they had been lying."

Schumer's unabashed confidence has served her well in both comedy and her acting career. She's able to take the stage and openly discuss personal takes on everything from her sex life to feminism and politics...

Some might argue that Amy should just stick to jokes, but she tells In Style "I think frustration is good. I just want to make people laugh, but I'm also in a place where I want to make change. A joke doesn't have to be something that's going to make people think, but if it can, that's better."

And while Schumer has rocketed to the top of the comedy scene, she's certainly got a lot of people talking both for and against her points of view.

We're just as confident as she is that she won't quit doing that any time soon.
