Schiff CAN’T point to evidence of Trump-Russia collusion, talks about seeing Nunes’ info
  • 7 years ago
The ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee admits that he can’t point to any evidence that proves Trump or anyone on his administration colluded with the roooskies before the election this morning.

Now just because he can’t point to it doesn’t mean there isn’t any. BUT, the rhetoric around this issue is pretty irresponsible when there’s so little evidence.

Schiff also talked about seeing the information that Chairman Nunes says provides support for Trump’s claim that he was wiretapped, or more broadly, surveilled, by Obama.

Schiff tries to deflect, saying that the most important thing that the American people need to know about the information isn’t classified.

He says that the White House tells him the info he’s seeing is the same as Nunes, and he says “aha!” how do they know unless they are the source of the info?!?! Well that’s utterly stupid, because we know the White House has SINCE SEEN the info from Nunes, so his speculation is meaningless. Trump knows what the info was regardless of whether he was the source or not.

Secondly, he hits Trump for the process by which the information was gained, and here he has a point. The way that Nunes acted brings up a LOT of suspicion. I have been told, by certain people, that Nunes was perfectly justified in hiding the info from the committee because Democrats lie all the time and they would just lie about the info to the American people, so he needed to hide it. But they just let Nunes see the info. That’s what the interview above is about. So…. why did Nunes do it if they were just gonna show Dems anyway? And why did he seem to hide his first visit to the White House to get the info from the public? The Trump admin answer to these questions is literally to get angry the media is even asking them – that’s what the “process” versus intel debate is about. I’m sorry, but that just looks like more smoke to me…
