Fetty Wap Discusses Ending Violence in Patterson, NJ
  • 7 years ago
We caught Fetty Wap [Wop] at “Catch” restaurant in Hollywood, which is a long way from the mean streets of Patterson, New Jersey, where the rapper was raised.

After Fetty Ate his meal, photographers asked him about his transition from hard knocks to success…

[SOT – That’s where I’m from, I come from violence. You know what I’m saying? So it’s a blessing to be here, you know what I’m saying?]

Just because Fetty is focused on continuing his success, he won’t leave his roots.

[SOT – Pap: So will you go back to Patterson, that’s the question. FW: That’s where I’m from, Pap: That’s where you’re from. FW: I’m never ever going to leave Patterson, that’s where I’m from. Pap: Alright.]

In fact, Fetty has recently invested in rebuilding Patterson to help better the future lives of children growing up there.

[SOT - FW: You can ask me about The real estate that I bought in Patterson, I’m trying to build the community center for the kids, you know what I’m saying? So there can stop being violence, you know what I mean? There won’t be shit like that happening, you know what I’m saying?]

What’s brighter? Fetty’s jewelry or his future? We think both.
