Shots were fired by US Capitol Police officers in Washington on March 29 after a motorist didn’t stop when told, struck another vehicle and attempted to flee on foot on Independence Ave. near the US Capitol building.Capitol Police spokeswoman Eva Malecki told reporters that the suspect was arrested and the incident “appears to be criminal in nature, with no nexus to terrorism.”
