Neighbor Receives Award For Assisting Cops In House Fire

When two Georgia homes catch fire help is quick to come, thanks to 44-year-old James Parker his neighbors escaped safely. Officers with the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department, Andrew Jenkins and Joshua Chatting, were out patrolling when they caught a glance of the blazing fire. Without hesitation, they rushed to the scene to assist James in rescuing the families. To thank James for his heroic actions, Assistant Chief Julie Tolbert presented him with the Citizen Award of Commendation.
