When politics fail it is time for humans to act.
We are not spectators in this world – on this earth, which has become a living hell for millions of people. Many Europeans know: It is not enough to just look kindly upon refugees. Therefore they come together in solidarity to lend a hand: provide shelter, food and clothes, and an open ear and hope.
The IHA – InterEuropean Human aid Association – exists in order to make this kind of spontaneous aid efficient. This international volunteer-run humanitarian aid organisation coordinates aid, makes it available where it is needed most, as rapidly as possible. Food, clothes, sleeping bags, tents, or emergency generators. We collect donations and coordinate our donations and practical help directly with the NGOs in the refugee camps.
Thus, hundreds of volunteers have so far collected donations and delivered hundreds of tons of goods to the places where they are needed: the external EU borders, where people strand on their difficult flight from danger and persecution.
This has to continue! If you want to help refugees, if you want to aid efficiently, we ask you to support the platform for all volunteers.
It does not matter how you help, it only matters that you help. We value every contribution – financially, material or by lending a hand.

Wir sind nicht nur als Zuschauer auf der Welt – auf dieser Erde, die für Millionen Menschen zur Katastrophe geworden ist. Viele Europäer wissen: Es reicht nicht, Flüchtlingen gegenüber nur wohlgesinnt zu sein. Deshalb packen sie gemeinsam an: bieten Flüchtenden Schutz, sichern Kleidung und Nahrung, spenden Zuspruch und Hoffnung.
Um diese Aktionen sinnvoll zu organisieren, gibt es die IHA – die InterEuropean Human Aid Association. Diese internationale Hilfsorganisation von Freiwilligen koordiniert verschiedenste Hilfsangebote, so dass sie schnell dort ankommen, wo sie gebraucht werden. Seien es Nahrungsmittel, Kleidung, Schlafsäcke, Zelte oder Notstromaggregate. Wir sammeln Spenden und stimmen die Lieferungen und Hilfseinsätze direkt in den Flüchtlingslagern mit den NGOs ab.
So haben bislang hunderte Helferinnen und Helfer Spenden gesammelt und hunderte Tonnen Hilfsgüter vor Ort gebracht: an die EU-Außengrenzen, wo Menschen auf ihrer beschwerlichen Flucht an- und oft lange nicht weiterkommen.
Doch es muss weitergehen! Wer flüchtende Menschen nicht im Stich lassen will, wer wirkungsvoll helfen will, unterstützt jetzt die Plattform für alle Freiwilligen.
Es kommt nicht auf die Art der Hilfe an, sondern auf die Hilfe selbst. Für uns ist jede Unterstützung wertvoll – ob finanziell, materiell oder nur als helfende Hand.
