Japan holds evacuation drills after North Korea missile tests
  • 7 years ago
Japan held its first civilian evacuation drill for missile attacks after North Korea fired missiles close to the country. North Korea launched four ballistic missiles into the sea near Japan’s northwest coast earlier in March. One of the missiles landed 124 miles from the city of Oga, where the drill took place. Residents went to a designated evacuation center with emergency kits and protective gear. Students were instructed to crouch down and make their way into the school's gymnasium.
