Winter Storm Stella causes nearly 8,000 flight cancellations

Roughly 18 million people are under a blizzard warning as Winter Storm Stella rolls through the east coast. States of emergency have been declared in Maryland, Virginia, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The weather has had a catastrophic effect on travelers with more than 7,800 flights being cancelled from Monday into Wednesday. Amtrak Tuesday announced that it has suspended Northeast Regional service between New York City and Boston and Empire Service between New York City and Albany, New York.
