UK Parliament passes Brexit Bill
Britain's Parliament officially passed the Brexit bill, triggering Article 50 and allowing the government to start talks with the European Union. The bill was passed in a 274 to 118 vote. The Brexit process is now expected to take two years from when May invokes Article 50, which notifies the EU that UK intends to leave. The news came as Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon announced plans to hold a second independence referendum from the UK. Sturgeon said that she wants the vote to be held between 2018 and 2019, but it is likely PM Theresa May will reject the referendum until after Brexit.
