Spicer: Trump Wants Reporters To Determine Where His Salary Is Donated

During a press briefing on Monday, Sean Spicer commented that President Trump wants reporters to determine where his salary is donated.

During his campaign, Donald Trump pledged that he would not be keeping the $400,000 salary given to presidents, reports USA Today.
In recent days there's been some discussion as to how well he’s kept that promise.
A question about whether any of it has been donated was asked during Monday’s White House press briefing and followed by a response few, if any, saw coming.
White House press secretary Sean Spicer said, “The president’s intention right now is to donate his salary at end of the year, and he has kindly asked you all determine where that goes. The way that we can avoid scrutiny is to let the press corps determine where it should go.”
Laugher erupted, and Spicer continued, “In all seriousness, I think his view is, he made a pledge to the American people, he wants to donate it to charity, and he would love your help to determine where it should go.”
Suggestions thus far include a number of programs designed to educate and protect future and present journalists.
