Helms-Burton Act Strengthens U.S. Blockade on Cuba

The motivation behind the Helms-Burton act of March 12, 1996, was the punishment of Cuban people for resisting U.S. imperial aggression. Although the blockade deprives people of essentials such as certain medicines, Cuba has held its head high and has refused to bow down to imperialist pressure.
