Surgeons Remove Over 900 Coins From Turtle

by Anthony FalcoA sea turtle ended up in the ER after being found with 915 coins in her stomach. The turtle lives at a conservation center in Thailand and was consuming coins tossed in the water. Veterinarians stepped in after she was having trouble swimming.It turns out the coins she consumed weighed about 11 pounds. The seven-hour surgery appears to be a success but the road to recovery will be long — she’ll require six months of physical therapy.
