WASHINGTON — U.S. President Donald Trump accused former president Barack Obama of wire-tapping Trump Tower both before and after the election. Trump says it’s “Nixon/Watergate,” but offered nothing to corroborate his allegations.

Obama said neither he nor his White House staff ever ordered surveillance on a U.S. citizen. However, he dodged saying whether the Justice Department or other federal agents conducted spy ops on Trump or those in his orbit.

Either way, Congress says it will probe if the allegations have merit or are #fakenews.
