Bharatiya Janata Party President Amit Shah said revelation by Former Pakistan National Security Advisor (NSA) Mahmud Ali Durrani on the 26/11 Mumbai attacks is a victory for the Indian government’s diplomacy. Shah said that India has been on this stand since the very beginning and have been strongly raising these issues at international forums since BJP came to power. Earlier, Mahmud Ali Durrani had said that 2008 Mumbai terror attacks were carried out by a terror group based in Pakistan. At the same time, Durrani, however, said the Pakistani government had no role in the Mumbai attacks. Durrani spoke at a conference on combating terrorism at the Institute of Defence Studies and Analysis in Delhi. "26/11 Mumbai strike, carried out by a terror group based in Pakistan, was a classic trans-border terrorist event", he added.
