A stunning video has emerged of Mount Etna erupting last Tuesday, with lava rocks tumbling down the side of the volcano and sizzling as they hit the snow and ice.

The footage, shot by photographers Giuseppe Distefano and Marco Restivo, captures the beauty of the Sicilian volcano, with people getting very close to the churning rocks of solidifying lava.
