More than 100 people have died from drought-related illness in Somalia in just the last 48 hours. Somalia's President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo declared the drought to be a natural disaster, which has swept the nation's southwestern region. It still remains unclear how many people have died in other parts of the country. The drought has affected more than 6.2 million people in the country, leaving people with little to no water at all. Famine in Somalia left 258,000 dead people between 2010 and 2012, according to a report by the United Nations.
